Perfect for dancers looking to improve their acro skills or for gymnasts looking to get creative.
Each day we work on fitness, strength, flexibility, and skills. You are given a chance to film some of your new moves at the end of each day and an optional performance of your own piece on the last day.
The skills that we’ll work on include: roll variations; handstand variations; cartwheel variations (including the spider cartwheel and round-offs); and bridge & walkover variations. Participants who are more advanced will progress onto: aerials; free front walkovers; layouts; front & back handsprings; and somersaults.
As we progress, we’ll be able to find creative ways to combine some of these skills together and include some choreography in the transitions.
Our amazing full-time gymnastic training facility is the perfect setting for pushing your limits to try something new, and you’ll feel safe and confident under the guidance of our expert coaches who all have a background in gymnastics and/or dance.
Basic level required?
We will be divided up into small groups based on level so don’t worry if you’re a beginner. However, to get the most from the workshop, we do recommend that you only register if you can at least hold a bridge position with one leg in the air and that you are confident with handstands and cartwheels. A background in dance or gymnastics would be best. Contact us if you’d like to enquire about suitability.
