Our recreational programmes are designed to develop balance, strength, coordination, flexibility and agility whilst allowing their confidence to grow naturally. Your child will learn the foundations of executing gymnastics skills correctly and safely in a fun environment.
Term Dates below
For all class times, see our timetable.
To accommodate children from the same family who can come to the same class time, our classes are primarily mixed age groups from 4 to 12 years. However, they are divided into groups within the class according to age so that the lesson is age-appropriate. We also have classes for 3-year-olds—more info below on our recreational classes for children.
Tumble Tots: 3 years
Mini Rock 'n' Rollers: 3-4 years
Rock 'n' Rollers: 4-5 years
Banana Splits: 6-7/8 years
Twisters: 8/9-12 years
Note: These age groups sometimes vary depending on the demand per age in each class.

Your gymnast will be introduced to skills/ areas such as balance, coordination, teamwork, performance, flexibility, strength, key gymnastics shapes, jumping, landing, falling, and getting them comfortable with turning upside down. They will learn the foundations of executing gymnastics skills correctly and safely, e.g. how to perform skills with straight arms, straight legs and pointed feet.
Examples of skills we will work on in their first term include: jumping onto the vault, swinging on bars, balancing on the beam, rolling and shapes on the floor, and progression onto handstands, cartwheels and bridges according to their ability. As they improve, we progress onto bridge kick-overs, drop back to bridge, handstand forward roll, round-offs, etc.
As we assess gymnasts progressing well, we can move into one of our Pre-Advanced or Advanced Classes, where they will work on walkovers, aerials, handsprings, etc. We have two Advanced Classes for girls and an Advanced Boys group.

These classes are currently on hold. Our Trojan adult classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as for former gymnasts. A great way to keep fit, work on some skills and maintain strength and flexibility. Adult classes are led by our fantastic Head Coach, Stas. Tues & Thurs 8-9:30 pm. More info here.
Trojan offers week-long camps that are run through the mid-term breaks and the summer. These are a great opportunity for children to quickly advance through all the basics and build up their strength, balance, and flexibility. Camps also allow more time for the real fun stuff such as games and gymnastic displays.
We love a party, and we think a gymnastic party is the best type of party. For children turning 6 and up. Sundays 1:30-3:30 and 4-6pm. For more info see here.
Our competitive programme is for ambitious gymnasts who have displayed the necessary skillset. Gymnasts for our competitive squad are selected through our recreational program. They train to compete at national competitions with Gymnastics Ireland and towards making it onto national squads.
